Cruising is back! But which ship is best for you?

The pandemic has impacted our lives in more ways than one. The tourism industry took a major hit, and most cruise lines had to stop their work entirely for more than one and a half years. Now, things are looking brighter. With vaccination numbers going up, more ships head into the sea.

Going on a cruise is an adventure unlike any other. Instead of worrying about catching the next flight, traveling from one destination to the other, reloading your suitcases, preparing dinner, and looking for the best nightclubs, sit back and enjoy your vacation while having the most beautiful views. It is not a surprise many people choose to go on a cruise. Once they get the taste of it, they want to enjoy it again and again. With our help, discover the best cruise lines in the USA and ideas for your next custom travel itinerary.

Royal Caribbean

When looking for a cruise that provides the best value for money, you can't go wrong with Royal Caribbean. In fact, it might just be one of the best American cruise lines. Whether traveling alone or heading on the adventure with your family, you will surely have a pleasant experience. Those who decide to bring their little ones on the cruise will enjoy the fact there are plenty of children's programs available.

Prices for a one-night start as low as $225. Compared to other brands, it is relatively cheaper yet provides high quality. On the ship, you will find all the necessary amenities to make your travel fun or relaxing (depending on what you prefer). Those who have a bigger budget will definitely benefit from booking a suite.

Explore the Caribbean's pristine white sand beaches or perhaps hike through some stunning rainforests, discovering hidden waterfalls – the cruise can take you almost anywhere. Bahamas, Bermuda, Miami – the opportunities are endless.

Carnival

Going on a cruise is an experience unlike any other. There is something magical about being in the water. Unfortunately, an adventure like this typically costs quite a lot of money. If you are looking for cruise lines that are friendlier to your budget, Carnival is your best bet. Although you typically have to pay about some of the amenities on board, you might get a deal for less than $200, making it one of the most affordable cruise lines.

What makes Carnival even better is the fact you can choose between many different itineraries. Therefore it is possible to select a destination that suits your budget the best. Keep in mind that boats with shorter adventures are quite popular among party people. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, it is probably not the best choice for you. Those looking for a more luxurious way of cruising can hop on ships that head on longer journeys. Usually, they also feature better amenities.

Where should you go next? The Caribbean, Bahamas, and Mexico are among the top places to see, but there are plenty of other destinations available.

Norwegian Cruise Line

Africa, Alaska, the Bahamas, Bermuda, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, Hawaii, Mexico, and so much more – if we were to write every Norwegian destination, we would spend half of eternity. The cruise line is one of the most popular ones in the USA. Thanks to its attractive prices, many routes, and top-notch amenities, it has become a loved carrier by many.

The Norwegian will be the perfect cruise adventure for people looking for a more laid-back way of traveling. You don't have to worry about putting your best dress and jewelry on. Unlike other luxurious cruises, the atmosphere is a lot more relaxed and casual.

If you are not sure which itinerary to choose, pay attention to the choice of the boat. Newer ships are typically more luxurious than older ones. Quite often, they are larger too. Of course, travelers may also choose a higher-quality stateroom (accordingly to their budget).

Celebrity Cruise

Looking for a stylish getaway? Then look no more, The Celebrity Cruise is a bit more expensive than the Royal Caribbean or Carnival, but it can still be considered on the cheaper end. Be prepared for a high-end design, exquisite art, and yummy restaurants that will surely satisfy your inner gourmand.

The Miami-based line usually attracts those who enjoy a luxurious way of traveling (although it can't really be named a luxurious product). Those who prefer to stay away from the party crowds will find this cruise to be the perfect choice. If you have the chance – book your adventure in its newest ships (either Celebrity Apex or Celebrity Edge). Their stunning cabins are open to the sea, making it an experience unlike any other.

Disney Cruise Line

A kid's paradise – this is how you can best describe the Disney Cruise Line. Think of Disneyland – just on a boat. Your little one (or you) will have the chance to attend various shows, meet the most famous Disney characters and have fun in the kid zones while traveling to Bermuda, the Caribbean, Canada, Alaska, and other fascinating destinations. When it comes to family-friendly cruise lines, it would be hard to find a better option. But, of course, you don't have to be a child to experience the Disney Cruise. All adult fans are welcomed as well. However, if Disney isn't your taste, this might not be the best vacation itinerary for you.

With this cruise line, you may expect high quality. But similar to Disney's parks, the prices are pretty high.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises

To travel in style, make sure to book your adventure on one of the Regent Seven Seas boats. This Miami-based luxury line is as good as it gets. Did you know that one of their ships (the Seven Seas Splendor) cost more than 600 million dollars? Furthermore, it is the most expensive ship ever built. Due to this, you may expect service, unlike in any other cruise line.

The cabins are marvelous, and the food is delicious – with Regent Seven Seas Cruises, you are guaranteed to have the time of your life. But, of course, to live the dream, you must be ready to pay for it. Every cabin on the cruise is a suite. The prices start around $1000 per day but can be even more if you decide to upgrade your stay.

Virgin Voyages

Younger travelers will definitely enjoy cruising on Richard Branson's startup line Virgin Voyages. Expect a hipper crowd and more exciting amenities while not breaking your bank. Virgin is also adults only.

The cruise line is the first to launch since Azamara in 2009. Although the idea was for it to go on its first adventure last year, the pandemic hit and changed the company’s plans. So on October 6, it will finally begin its journey from Miami. Although Virgin Voyages can be considered a newbie in the industry, many expect it to disrupt the whole world of cruise lines. The idea is to offer ships that are cooler and edgier than what is offered now. So perhaps you should put it to the test while heading to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, or the Bahamas?
